Needless to say, the weather in Vancouver recently have been rather… sporadic – and it certainly shows in my recent choices in outfits! One of my favourite trends this season is colour blocking.. and although when it is cloudy and pouring rain outside you realistically just want to crawl into a pair of grey sweatpants and call it a day, I’ve made a huge effort in trying to have at least SOME colour in every outfit.. Hopefully this can inspire some of you to get creative and dig out some old shirts and have some fun with them! Who says our outfits need to match the weather all the time, right?

I. Love. This. Scarf. I recently hauled it on a trip to the states and have been in love with it ever since. The sweater and Sperrys featured in this outfit are definitely my staple items for when it looks dreadful outside. A girl’s gotta be comfortable!

Ahhh, spring. This outfit certainly took inspiration from the pastel colours of the season. I just love the pale blue on creamy yellow for those sunny, cool spring days! Not to mention, it’s also catering to the whole coloured jeans fad.. which, obviously, I’m a bit crazy about.

You guys will soon start seeing a common trend in all my outfits – I like to stay comfortable! And it certainly shows with this outfit. These Wilfred pants are to DIE for as they feel like I’m wearing PJ pants out… thankfully (hopefully) it doesn’t look that way!

A few things to take note of in this outfit:
1) I usually don’t like animal print things.. but this snake skin is subtle enough (and silky enough!) to make me love it anyways.
2) My red pants were only $20 at forever21! talk about keeping up with trends without breaking the bank!

Another way to bring a pop of something into an outfit is through graphic tees! Who better than the classic icon Audrey Hepburn? The tank was totally a random find at Forever21 one day.. and who could say no to Audrey?
